Canadian-born saint who in 1701 came into the world on this site on the shores of the St. Lawrence River. A video portrays her life and her works. In a building adorned stained glass, you can follow in the steps of St. Marguerite via artifacts, costumes and archival documents. Her life and career were plagued by misfortunes and marked by fires, but it shows her unshakable faith in God and His Divine Providence. A tomb dedicated to her is located in a little chapel on site within the richly decorated Sainte-Anne de Varennes Basilica. The parish, being exceptionally rich in religious heritage also invites you to discover the nearby historic votive chapels and a majestic Calvary.
